Focus & Scope

Jurnal Pengabdian Rinovasi cares about and publishes articles related to the practice and process of public service, community service, community engagement, community-based research, community-based participatory research, action research, and service learning. This journal includes research-based community service results such as Participatory Action Research, Asset Based Community Development, Community-Based Research, and Service Learning.

Peer Review Process

Jurnal Pengabdian Rinovasi implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity, scientific quality, and publication integrity. Every submitted manuscript will undergo the following stages:

  1. Initial Screening by the Editor
    The editor conducts a preliminary evaluation to ensure that the manuscript aligns with the journal’s aims and scope, meets writing completeness requirements, and complies with the author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage.
  2. Reviewer Assignment
    Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the article’s field. The identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
  3. Review Process
    Reviewers evaluate the scientific quality of the manuscript based on originality, methodology, clarity of analysis, and contribution to the field of study. Reviewers then provide recommendations: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
  4. Editorial Decision
    The editor makes a decision based on the reviewers’ recommendations. If necessary, the editor may request additional reviews or further revisions from the authors.
  5. Revision and Final Decision
    Authors are required to respond to reviewers’ comments and submit a revised manuscript. The final decision rests with the Editor.

This journal upholds the principles of confidentiality, objectivity, and publication ethics, and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) throughout the peer review process.

Open Access Policy

Jurnal Pengabdian Rinovasi is an open access journal which means all content is freely available at no cost to users or/institutions. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full-text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author, following the creative commons license. If the user uses the content in this journal for research or article writing, the user is required to cite the name of the article author in the item created.

Frequency Publication

Jurnal Pengabdian Rinovasi publishes issues 2 times a year. Important dates for the article submission process are as follows:

June issue period:

  • Article submission time: January - April
  • Acceptance notification: May

December issue period:

  • Article submission time: July - October
  • Acceptance notification: November

Plagiarism Policy

We will check every article submitted to the journal editorial team for plagiarism levels using Turnitin or iThenticate software. The Jurnal Pengabdian Rinovasi sets a maximum limit for the similarity value of plagiarism checking results at 25%. We will reject articles that have a similarity value above 25% and cannot be published in the Jurnal Pengabdian Rinovasi.
