This study aims to optimize an aquaponics system through the integration of renewable energy in the form of solar panels to support sustainable and environmentally friendly food security. The research was conducted at a Fish Farmer Group (POKDAKAN) in Tangkit Baru Village, Jambi, over a two-month period. The stages included preparation, installation of the solar energy system, construction of the aquaponics system, system integration, and operational monitoring. The aquaponics system integrates fish and plant cultivation within a recirculating system, while electrical energy for operating pumps and aerators is supplied by three solar panels with a total capacity of 300 WP connected to a 150 Ah battery. The results indicate that the system operates effectively in supporting fish and plant growth; however, the available energy capacity is not sufficient to meet continuous electricity demands for 24 hours. Therefore, an increase in energy system capacity is required to achieve optimal and sustainable operation.
